Biography:

Hai-Wen LI is an associate professor at Platform of Inter/Transdisciplinary Energy Research, International Research Center for Hydrogen Energy and International Institute for Carbon-Neutral Energy Research, Kyushu University. He also serves as invited visiting professors at Aarhus University in Denmark and Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium, grant proposal reviewer for Swiss National Science Foundation, and editorial board members for Energies and Inorganics. After receiving Ph. D. degree in 2005, he started to work as a postdoctoral researcher at Institute for Materials Research, Tohoku University. From 2006-2008, he was awarded as a JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) Research Fellow. From 2008 to 2011, he was assigned as an assistant professor at Institute for Materials Research, Tohoku University.

His research activities mainly focus on the development of advanced materials and systems for efficient hydrogen storage and transportation. In particular, he is vigorously implementing R&D of metal hydrides and inorganic hydrides for “high-density hydrogen storage”, as well as “other novel functions” such as electrochemical properties.
