Biography: 

Prof. Meng NI studied Aero-engine engineering in China and obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2007. He worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in HKU, before joining BRE, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, as an Assistant Professor in July 2009. He was promoted to Associate Professor in July 2012 and Professor in July 2016. 

Prof. Ni focused his research on solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) and other electrochemical systems for energy conversion/storage. Prof. NI has published over 130 papers in prestigious scientific journals with over 7000 SCI citations. He serves as an Associate Editor for 3 journals, an Editorial Board Member for 7 journals, and a reviewer for over 60 journals. Prof. Ni has been invited by 26 times to deliver keynote/invited lectures at different international conferences. He received the Young Scientist Award from the Hong Kong Institution of Science in 2007. In 2011, he received “Top Reviewer Award” from Applied Energy. In June 2016, Prof. Ni was listed in the World’s Highly Cited Researchers in Energy Science and Technology by Shanghai Ranking. In August 2016 and 2017, Prof. Ni was awarded “Best Associate Editor Award” by Science Bulletin. Prof. Ni is a Humboldt Fellow. He conducted collaborative research at Jülich Forschungszentrum, Germany from January to July 2017.
